“Protect Your Investment”

Say Goodbye To Fine Hair, It All Begins Here:

Extensions are a big investment and how you care for them in the days and weeks ahead will make all the difference in how long they stay smooth, soft and gorgeous. Here's your quick reference guide.

The First 48 Hours: K-Tips

Keep hair dry. No washing or saunas for the first 48 hours. This gives the bonds time to fully set so they hold strong long term.

Daily Moisture:

Since extensions are no longer attached to a blood source and are also no longer able to get oil from your scalp, they need help staying hydrated. Stick to products your stylist recommends. Apply leave in conditioner from mid length to ends. Keep away from your roots and attachment points. Hydration is imperative to aid in the longevity of your new hair.

Brushing:

Brush twice a day with an extension safe brush. I love the Tangle Teaser. Always hold hair at the roots while brushing to take pressure off the attachment points.

Washing & Drying:

Use extension safe products. Wash no more than three times a week. Do not roughly scrub to cleanse. Keep it gentle, but thorough. Condition mid lengths to ends and rinse thoroughly. Blot, don't rub with a towel and always fully blow dry the roots. Never sleep on wet hair.

Heat Tools and Lifestyle:

Never go to bed with a wet head. Keep hot tools, no more than 360°.  I highly recommend 320°. High heat can't affect the color and integrity immensely. If you're heading to the pool or the beach mineral sunscreen is a must. Using a chemical based sunscreen on your face or body can result in orange, copper or even peach hair. The hair will lay, rest and brush on your face and shoulders and color change will be inevitable. I strongly recommend keeping your hair tied back and free from exposure to chlorine and saltwater. If this is unrealistic saturate hair thoroughly beforehand and apply leave in conditioner. Keep hair in loose braid. Also limit how long chlorine or salt water sits on your hair after your activities.

Maintenance Vists:

First time  K-tip extension clients should schedule a check up 4-5 weeks after initial installation. This visit will allow me to asses your hair health, attachment, integrity and overall performance.

Removal services are not included in the original installation fee. Book maintenance appointments in advance to ensure continuity of care and optimal results.
